Message: In 1995, I sold my 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 station wagon to a man in Phoenix; I cannot recall his name. The car was purchased new by my stepfather, Edmond Way, now deceased; sold to me around 1985. Car was originally equipped with a 383 2 bbl, 727 Torqueflite, copper paint, black interior and aftermarket A/C. I would very much like to own this car again; it had more sentimental value than I ever thought it would.

Message: Hello- I am looking for a 1970 Nova Super sport. It was black and had a black vinyl top, 4 speed hurst shifter, 350 small block, posi traction, original ss rims, black busket seats, chrome side pipes, and my uncle was a mechanic and he installed an A/C unit under the dash on the passenger side. The black paint had 3 coats of pearl and the small flames that were painted on the side also had pearl in it. The rear shocks were Monroe air shocks. I took it to college with me in KY and had to sell it because it was constantly breaking down on me and I could not afford to fix it any longer. It also had a small chrome steering wheel. I sold it in 1984 to a car dealership in Richmond, KY. I would really like to find this first love of mine. I hated selling it but had no choice, would really like to find this gem.

Message: I am looking for my 1971 Dodge Charger that I stupidly sold back in the late 80's. The vin # is WH23G1A173602. It was dark Metallic Brown with a 1/2 Vinyl roof that was black. Interior was black vinyl, bench seat, automatic shift on the column. I believe it had designs etched into the small triangular rear windows. It was traded in by the guy I sold it to to a dealer in Iselin, NJ called Bell Ford, I called them and tried to get them to trace what happened to it. All I could find out was that one of the owners drove it for a while. I checked with a friend at DMV and found out that it was last titled in June of 1993 in NJ and it had like 400k miles on it. I have regretted selling this car since I sold it. The last time I spoke with the guy I sold it to years ago, he regretted selling it also. It was a great car. I really hope it's still out there somewhere and not cubed in a scrap yard. Any help is appreciated.

It was a local area dealer special edition (similar to the earlier High County Special Mustangs in Colorado). This one was painted bright green (think John Deere) with a thin, white pin stripe running just under the side windows. It had a badge with "4.2 Liter Special" right in front of the quarter side scoop. It had a non-functional hood scoop painted body color. 250 c.i. inline 6 cylinder engine with a 3-speed manual tranny. Black vinyl standard interior. I'll add pictures to my 'Lost' vehicle section. Message: I lost my dream car around 1983 or 1984 just before my son was born. A 1970 Ford Torino Cobra, Forest Green, but the car was originally two-tone silver. Shaker hood, rear deck spoiler and louver on the back window. The interior of the car was mint, all orginal snake skin, black buckets, center console, magnum 500 wheels with Cobra inserts. The car was purchased from a used car dealer in Beaufort SC with the help of my father in law. I paid $3500 for it than...I was awesome..but with my son coming I could not afford to restore it so I sold it to a Marine from Paris Island. I do not have the Vin and Name of the buyer. The under hood had been repaired on left side, showed welds from work done.

Message: Hello all,
I wanted to take a moment to address some of the lingering confusion regarding the way the site is set up, especially as it relates to finding the "lost" or "found" cars that are listed within the site.
First, much like the way the old site was set up many years ago, there is no "lost" or "found" cars page, per se. Cars can be tagged as such, but the site is not set up so that people can see every single "lost" car on the site all at once.
Now, if you're looking for your specific former 1965 Pontiac GTO and it's not in the system, but you're curious and would like to see a list of all the lost 1965 Pontiac GTOs on the site, you can do that, too, on the Search page. But see a list for every, single "lost" car at once, regardless of make, model year, etc.? The site is not currently set up to allow for that kind of search, which is not to say, however, that I wouldn't consider revising it in the future to accomodate that.
As always, if you'd like to LIST a car on the site or contact the owner of a car listed here, you must become a registered member so that you maintain your own information. Searching, however, is open to anyone, whether or not they are registered.

It was painted White--a Corvette color reccommended to me and painted by Jerry Douglass. Oh yeah, blue interior, bench seat. I sold the car to Richard Hatfield in 1976--I think. I distinguishing characteristic was the Camaro hood louvers. The four squares per louver. Most Novas have the typical SS variety with the ribs running lenghthwise. I've got the VIN somewhere. When I find it, I'll put it in a subsequent posting. This site is a great idea!

Message: Regarding the Login button: Read the text at the top of the page, but to Login you must first register with the site if you are a new user (meaning, you have not submitted a post to me at the old site. Those who have submitted previous to the new site lauch will receive a separate welcome email with a temporary password, etc.) Please note: You don't have to join the site to search. The Search button above is a public search button that allows you to search the database - if you find a vehicle that interests you and you want to contact that person, THEN you must join the site and login to contact them. Hope that clears things up. Thanks - Keith.

Message: Hey Pomona folks, do you remember an orange 68 Mustang CJ racing at local strips and probably on the streets of SoCal. Orange makes it almost a one of kind. I was wrecked hard prior to 1979 and rebuilt with 351W drive train. I can follow ownership back to 1979 Monclair HS shop class. Any help would be appreciated.

Message: I ugraded my flash player from 9,0,124,0 to 10,0,22,87 and I still can not view most of the site like the log in and search. And now my temporary log in will expire and I won't be able to get in. So far I'm not impressed with your new site. I really would like to keep my lost car listed.

Message: I think this is a great way to try and find long lost vehicles that you once loved and enjoyed.
I'm still searching for my long lost show car named "Bad Company", a 6-71 Blown 1977 Red Metalflake Chevy El Camino SS, vin #1D80L7D450608.
I can only hope that somebody, or myself, will find it, and I'll be reunited again.
